The Best NA Conscripts Discharged from Service

CHISINAU, November 1, 2011 — Over 80 National Army soldiers were discharged after 12-month active-duty service Tuesday, November 1, during a ceremony held at Military Compound 142 from Chisinau.

The event brought together families and relatives of discharged soldiers. 30 soldiers were awarded diplomas of honor, 26 conscripts — letters of gratitude and other 12 soldiers were given watches for their exemplary service.

Deputy Minister of Defense Igor Panfile congratulated soldiers for doing their active-duty service with honor. The Deputy Minister of Defense pointed out the National Army is the soldiers’ life passport. Moreover, soldiers discharged from active duty today are already mature.

“Active-duty service in the world is a means of induction necessary for young men. This is a step each man should make in his life. The army taught you a daily schedule, physical development, marching procedures, shooting drills on the training ground, peacekeeping exercises, parachuting and driving armored vehicles”, Deputy Minister Igor Panfile stated. “I am sure these skills will be useful for your further development: at home, at work and in the society”.

The discharge process is carried out along with the conscription to the Armed Forces. Thus, during October 2011 — January 2012, 1300 recruits will join the National Army and 730 — the Carabineer Troops. About 10 young men will be enlisted as draftees in the National Army.
