Training Course on Ammunition Stock Control

CHISINAU, November 21, 2011 — OSCE Mission to Republic of Moldova visits the National Army institutions during November 21-24. During their stay in the country, the OSCE representatives intend to conduct a training course on physical security and ammunition stock control issue, as well as their adjustment to international requirements.

According to Maj. Andrei Camerzan, Head of Firearms and Ammunition Department of the Logistics Command, the idea of organizing the above training course is based on the need of fitting physical security and ammunition stock control systems to firearms and ammunition warehouses of the National Army. “This course aims at applying the Memorandum signed between the Republic of Moldova Defense Ministry and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe on the implementation of the Complex Program concerning small arms and light weapons, as well as conventional ammunition, in the Republic of Moldova concluded October 28, 2010”, Camerzan stated.

According to the above source, such kind of professional training courses for personnel dealing with physical security and ammunition stock control are carried out by the Logistics Command periodically.

A similar two-week training course for National Army servicemen was held in 2009.
