Chaplains from the US and North Carolina National Guard on an official visit to the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, August 16, 2022 — Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii had a meeting today with Chaplain (Colonel) Laurence Bazer of the US National Guard Office of Chaplains, accompanied by Chaplain (Colonel) Jonathan Heitman of the North Carolina National Guard.

During the meeting, which was also attended by military priests from the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova, Minister Nosatii emphasized the importance of religious assistance in military service and the dissemination of experience regarding the spiritual and religious education of the military.

For their part, the chaplains presented the best practices they have in the field, expressing their willingness to carry out an exchange of views between the representatives of both parties regarding the provision of support in overcoming the moral-psychological problems of the military.

It should be noted that the American delegation is on an official visit to the Republic of Moldova within August 16-18, 2022.
