Parachute demonstration jumps performed by the soldiers of the „Fulger” Special Purpose BattalionCHISINĂU, May 23, 2024 — Today, the soldiers from the “Fulger” Special Purpose Battalion will perform demonstration parachute jumps from the AN-2 aircraft in the vicinity of the village of Coșcodeni, Sîngerei district, the birthplace of the Romanian paratrooper, Major General Grigore Baștan. According to the commander of the “Fulger” Special Purpose Battalion, lieutenant-colonel Constantin Cîșleanu, the landing exercise is carried out as part of the “Wings of twinned heroes under the tricolor” activity, dedicated to military paratroopers. The event is organized in collaboration with the “General Grigore Baştan” Foundation from Romania, the National Army of the Republic of Moldova, the Municipality of Coșcodeni and the State University “Alecu Russo” from the municipality of Bălți.
