Students of the National Defense University (NDU) of the USA, at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, May 8, 2024 — The Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi, met, today, with a delegation from the CAPSTONE Program of the National Defense University (NDU) of the USA, which is on a working visit to the Republic of Moldova.

During the discussions, Minister Nosatîi referred to the cooperation of the defense institution with strategic partners, including the United States of America and international organizations, as well as the assistance programs in the context of the transformation of the National Army. At the same time, the official spoke about the priorities of the defense sector of the Republic of Moldova and the challenges to national and regional security.

A topic of interest was the hybrid war, the management of crisis situations, as well as the efforts of the Ministry of Defense in combating disinformation and informational propaganda.

In the same way, Minister Anatolie Nosatîi highlighted the important role that the USA has in strengthening the defense capabilities of the Republic of Moldova, the training of the National Army soldiers in various study programs and the assistance projects that contribute to the modernization of the defense institution.

It should be noted that the delegation of trainees from the CAPSTONE professional military training program is in our country during May 7-8, 2024.
