“Stefan cel Mare” Brigade Decorated with Order “Credinta Patriei”
CHISINAU, October 14, 2017 — “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade was decorated today with the state order “Credinta Patriei” (Loyalty to Motherland), 1st class. The order was awarded by President of the Republic of Moldova, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, Igor Dodon, during a ceremony dedicated to the unit’s 25th anniversary.
The award was offered for excellent fulfillment of service duty, prodigious activity and meritorious achievements of the unit’s staff in carrying out the constitutional missions and for ensuring the subunits’ high level of training.
President Igor Dodon thanked the service members for their excellent service and mentioned the important contribution of the Brigade’s staff in maintaining stability in the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova. “Within this mission of State importance, the Brigade’s service members are a factor of reliance”, said the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces.
Deputy Defense Minister Gheorghe Galbura stated that, during these 25 years, “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade had important achievements during their missions, national and international exercises. “The unit’s success is due to the professional service members who are ready to fulfill any mission entrusted by our State. You are an example for your colleagues from other National Army units”, underlined Gheorghe Galbura.
During the event, a group of service members received the Honor Diploma of the President of the Republic of Moldova and National Army medals for impeccable fulfillment of service duty. The activity also included wrestling exercises and the Orchestra’s show. The guests had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the unit’s weapons, equipment, vehicles, as well as the service members’ living conditions.
“Stefan cel Mare” Brigade was established on October 16, 1992.
