National Army Organizes “Cetatea 2015” Exercise

CHISINAU, June 3, 2015 — Today, President of the Parliament of Republic of Moldova, Andrian Candu, together with Deputy Prime Minister Victor Osipov, and other members of the Moldovan Government paid a working visit to the Ministry of Defense to observe the organization of the command and staff exercise “Cetatea 2015” (The Citadel 2015).

Within June 2-4, subdivisions of the National Army, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Intelligence and Security Service participate at the command and staff exercise “Cetatea 2015”.

The goal of the exercise is the training of planning and practical skills in defense operations, capacity building for development of planning documents and military operations command.

During the three days of training, the representatives of the force units test the level of interoperability and vehicles’ readiness, while carrying out concrete real-time missions.

“Cetatea 2015” is part of the 2015 National Army Training Plan.
