National Army Service Members Donate Blood for the Victims from “Colectiv” Club



CHISINAU, November 4, 2015 — Within November 3-5, National Army service members donate blood for the victims of the fire at the “Colectiv” club from Bucharest. The action is part of a campaign launched by the Ministry of Defense together with the National Center for Blood Transfusion.

According to Col. Vladimir Trofimov, Head of the Central Military Hospital, Chief physician of the Ministry of Defense, on November 3, 65 students and 155 soldiers donated blood at the Military Academy of the Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” and “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade from Chisinau.

On Wednesday, November 4, the Ministry of Defense employees, together with 250 service members of the National Army Commanding Officer Corps and Military Compound 142, donated blood at the Outpatient Clinic. Minister of Defense, Anatol Salaru, was among the donors.

Over 100 officers and NCOs of “Moldova” Brigade from Balti went to the unit’s medical office in order to donate blood.

The blood donation campaign will end on Thursday, November 5, in Cahul, where about 100 soldiers of “Dacia” Brigade are awaited.
