The Ministry of Defense Has a New Military Unit
CHISINAU, November 16, 2015 — The Ministry of Defense has a new military unit — National Army Center of Weapons and Ammunition. The unit was established according to the Order of Minister of Defense, Anatol Salaru, as of November 6, 2015 and aims to optimize, unify, and efficiently organize all National Army activities in the sector of weaponry and ammunition.
According to LTC Andrei Camerzan, Head of J4 Ammunition and Weapons Service of the Logistics Directorate, the Centre includes a few specialized sections: training, research, development, modernization, maintenance, reparation, recording, stocking, analysis, and testing.
The source specified that the Center’s activity is part of the National Army’s capabilities development process which comprises training, physical-chemical testing, and weapons and ammunition stockpile management.
