Service Members of “Fulger” Battalion Train in Romania


CHISINAU, August 22, 2016 — A group of service members of Special Forces Battalion “Fulger” (SFB) participates in the exercise JCET-2016 (Joint Combined Exchange Training), conducted in Buzau, Romania, within August 20-September 4, 2016.

According to SFB Commander, LTC Veaceslav Balan, in Buzau, the Moldovan and Romanian special forces troops carry out procedures of close quarters combat, special search, direct actions (raids, search-rescue), military assistance, training on helicopter airdropping, parachute jumps, evacuation of wounded, as well as advanced firing techniques with infantry weapons.

LTC Balan specified that the exercise aims to train the soldiers for “Junction Strike 2016” exercise, that will take place in Romania, in September, 2016.

At “Junction Strike 2016”, the National Army soldiers will train together with troops from Bulgaria, Georgia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, the United States of America, and Turkey.
