Moldovan Soldiers among the Winners of the “Battle of the Camps 2018” (video)

CHISINAU, October 23, 2018 — The National Army service members from Kosovo participated in the second edition of the multinational competition “Battle of the Camps 2018” that brought together contingents from KFOR.

According to contingent’s commander, LTC Veaceslav Balan, the Moldovan soldiers were part of the team of Camp Villaggio Italia that won the first place. The second place was won by the contingents stationed at Camp Novo Selo, while the third place winner was the team of Camp Film City.

LTC Balan specified that the competition included tasks that were not specific for military training such as: correct positioning and pounding of nails, log sawing, sack jumping, egg-and-spoon race, and relay tennis ball run.

“Battle of the Camps 2018” was organized at Camp Villaggio Italia and brought together soldiers from 28 countries.
