Start for “24 Hours in the National Army” Project



CHISINAU, June 8, 2019 — The Ministry of Defense is starting the 4th edition of the project “24 Hours in the National Army” involving representatives of 12 media institutions from the Republic of Moldova.

The activity has the goal to consolidate the cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the Moldovan media institutions and aims to support the achievement of the defense institution’s strategic objective of implementing the Program “Professional Army 2018-2021”.

The project is organized by Mass-media information and communication service, together with Special Forces Battalion “Fulger”, at the National Army Military Training Centre from Bulboaca. It includes shooting drills using infantry weapons, driving HMMWVs, technical climbing techniques, crossing an obstacle course, and surviving techniques.

This year, the project is attended by representatives of national and regional media institutions: PRO TV, Canal 2, Moldova 1, Radio Moldova, TVR Moldova, Realitatea.md, NewsMaker, TV Nord, Zugo.md, Ştiri.md, STS, and Gagauzia Public Tele-radio Company (GRT).

The first edition of the project “24 Hours in the National Army” has been organized in 2006.
