Bilateral meeting at the Ministry of Defense
CHISINAU, February 8, 2021 - The Chief of the General Staff of the National Army, Commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, had a working meeting with the Ukrainian military attaché, Colonel Oleksii Brahinets.
The main topic of discussion between the two officials was bilateral cooperation in the field of defense for the current training year.
Thus, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan and Colonel Oleksii Brahinets referred to the participation of the Moldovan and Ukrainian military in joint peacekeeping exercises and missions with an international mandate, which is an effective platform for exchanging experience, increasing interoperability between troops, and, respectively, the development of military capabilities.
In the end, the parties agreed to continue cooperation between the two armies in various fields, expressing hope that in 2021 the training activities stopped due to the pandemic will be resumed.
