Refugee placement center set up on the territory of “Stefan cel Mare” Brigade

CHISINAU, February 28, 2022 - This morning, the "Stefan cel Mare" motorized infantry brigade hosted 183 refugees from Ukraine.

They were housed in a separate building, temporarily transformed into a placement center with a capacity of 200 seats.

The refugees are students of the Odessa Medical University and arrived in Chisinau tonight. The soldiers in the unit provided them with all the necessary assistance for accommodation.

The action comes in response to the call of the authorities for the provision of basic assistance to refugees, in accordance with the provisions of the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Republic of Moldova, but also in connection with the large influx of foreigners coming from Ukraine.

Please note that this decision will not affect the work schedule of the unit.
